The Mhyanas Go Green

We haven't actually sprouted Maple seed wings yet, but we're hopeful. In Germany recycling is mandatory...one bin for glass, one for cans and plastics, one for papers, and of course the old ice-cream bucket/compost trick. We use our plastic bags for all kinds of things: emptying kitty litter, as pooper-scooper receptacles, and as padding for boxes being sent in the mail. We use old trash for craft projects, buy everything we can second-hand, try to use napkins instead of paper towels, recharge our batteries, use natural cleaners (like vinegar or Simple Green), try not to leave lights on, etc. When those little green wings sprout we won't even need a car. We have a long way to go, but it's a start!
