Welcome to our family website, a digital patchwork quilt sewn day by day. By sharing "scraps" of our lives with our loved ones, we're hoping to stitch continent to continent, time zone to time zone, heart string to heart string. Please embroider a comment or two on the fabric of our lives and enjoy! Please also visit our "Mindfire Homeschool" website!
The second week that Phil was away, I caught a cold (compounded by allergies). To keep me company, Lvov sat at my desk next to my bed tinkering away for about an hour and a half. This is what she was making, instead of playing outside or watching a movie or playing with the hamster...(please click on this picture to see the little notes!)
My children are so wonderful, they even make being sick joyful. They are my joy, every minute.
Three years ago in Japan a dentist accidentally shattered one of my teeth. Ever since, we've been saving up $ for cosmetic dental surgery. I'll be having the surgery sometime in the next year. Well, Akychame came to me the other day and showed me her piggy bank. It was stuffed with crumpled dollar bills and Euro coins. She told me that she's been saving up for months so that she can buy me coffee and cake at a really fancy restaurant to celebrate getting my surgery done!!! I think I'm the only mommy who has a tooth fairy - not for losing the tooth, but for getting a new one. I'm so incredibly lucky.
